Here goes then, a 2007 dedicated to getting people off the message boards and phone ins and doing something constructive for a change.

For sports minded individuals, the Sport’ers Club is a free online supporters club that takes less than a minute to register your support for the development of future sporting stars.

Throughout Wales, there are just under a million players and spectators of professional and amateur sporting clubs. This is a powerful constituency for change.

The Welsh Sport’ers Club is a club with four guiding objectives.

Attain a wide perspective.
The club embraces all sporting success, for whatever the sport if they have won something it means Australia haven’t.

Attain a sense of belief.
The Sport’ers Club has the potential to ensure that grass roots sport is ready to benefit from London 2012 not financially crippled by it.

Getting behind the nation at no extra cost.
Sport’ers Club can help individuals and business invest into the nations sporting infrastructure. For both it does not cost any additional money.

Can the apathy.
The Sport’ers Club enables all, not just a few, members of local sports clubs to make a difference to their club and sport and it takes the exact time that forwarding one e-mail entails.

How this works is in the membership benefits that you are free to access on joining.

To provide these benefits, national and local companies will have invested in national funding streams or local sports clubs. The more members of the Sport’ers Club, mean the more companies wishing to promote and thereby investing in sport.

The Sport’ers Club does not rent, sell lists, or spam you. When registering you can choose to receive monthly updates on offers and prize competitions, or simply choose not to. On registering, everyone receives a welcome e-mail, containing your password etc.
